COOPER HAND TOOLS ANNOUNCES NEW LINE OF WISS® LIGHTWEIGHT HEAVY DUTY SCISSORS
APEX, NC –JANUARY 2006 – Cooper Hand Tools has introduced a new line of Wiss® Lightweight Heavy Duty Stainless Scissors featuring durable stainless steel blades in a variety of styles.
Sold separately in five different packages, the new line of scissors offers the perfect combination of ergonomic comfort, crisp performance, and outstanding durability. All scissors are made with stainless steel blades to provide maximum corrosion resistance.
The W812 Home and Craft Scissors (8.5 inches) feature soft comfort grips with an oversized high leverage bottom ring for more powerful cuts and an adjustable pivot that allows the user to fine-tune the settings for maximum comfort.
Also available is the WHCS2 Two-piece Home/Craft/Sew Scissors Set, consisting of an 8.5-inch Home and Craft Scissors packaged with a 5-inch General Purpose Scissors. The combination set is perfect for sewing and craft projects, easily cutting thread, fabric, paper, and cardboard.
The W8TA “Take Apart” Utility Scissors (8 inches) feature two take-apart serrated blades and dishwasher-safe ergonomically designed polypropylene grips for thorough cleaning. The serrated blades are designed to grip uneven materials for easier cutting. While the W8TA Scissors are used for cutting paper, fabric, cardboard, and craft materials, they also feature a semi-circular notch on the lower blade that is perfect for cutting rounded items.
The W912 Shop Shears (10 inches) are great for cutting cardboard, rope, rubber, and screen. With a semi-circular notch on the lower blade, the W912 Shop Shears can hold and cut rope faster and easier. The lower blade is also serrated to grip materials securely for more of an even cut, and features a safety point. The W912 also features a high leverage comfort grip for right and left-handed users.
Finally, the WEZSNIP Easy Snips Utility Shears are designed for heavy-duty cutting assignments such as shop, gardening, and craft cutting jobs, and also features a wire cutter notch to easily cut light-gauge wire. The Easy Snips facilitate cutting jobs with soft-touch co-molded plastic handles for maximum comfort and power, supplemented by spring-loaded blades to reduce fatigue on repeated cuts.
Wiss® Lightweight Heavy Duty Stainless Scissors will be available at selected home centers and hardware retailers, industrial distributors, Internet retailers, and specialty stores, with prices ranging from $8 to $15.
